Another day another fine selection across the Discovery Screens at FrightFest.

The Short Film Showcase has 11 pieces from new and established talent that tackle many of the different horror genres. Many of these are world premieres so do check them out if you can.

The annual First Blood selection of movies is today with 4 titles: The Moor, Isaac, The Glenarma Tapes and Haunted Ulster Live. Each one really do expose the up and coming creatives out there and we can sincerely say that the people behind each of these features are definitely going to have long careers in the industry.

If you want to feel old the Roger Lay Jr.’s 1982: The Greatest Geek Year Ever is for you. Not just a documentary, more a fabulous time machine back to one of the greatest years in movie history for the biggest blockbusters, cult unforgettables and when genre fandom was in its infancy. Filled with exclusive interviews, rare behind-the-scenes photos and never before seen clips, this celebration of seminal and influential genre classics is a fun, lively, no-holds-barred look at Blade Runner, E.T. – The Extra-Terrestrial, Star Trek Ii: The Wrath Of Khan, John Carpenter's The Thing, Conan The Barbarian, The Road Warrior, Tron, Poltergeist, The Dark Crystal, Firefox, First Blood, Creepshow, Megaforce and many, many more.
